Pinto beans are particularly rich in vegetable protein, fiber and complex carbohydrates, making them a popular ingredient in vegetarian and vegan cuisine. They should be soaked for several hours or overnight before cooking.

Preparation recommendation: Soak 100 g of beans in plenty of water for around 12 hours and cook in fresh water for 50-60 minutes. Only add salt at the end of the cooking process.
