- 1 x Magic Tree caraway whole, 20 g
- 1 x Magic Tree coriander whole, 20 g
- 1 x Magic Tree turmeric ground, 20 g
- 1 x Magic Tree sweet red paprika (ground), 30 g
- 1 x Magic Tree black pepper, ground, 10 g
- 1 x Magic Tree barberry, 10 g
Taste & effect of the individual spices:
- Barberry gives the plov a fine, fruity acidity and provides freshness and balance - particularly important with fatty meats.
- Cumin is the heart of plov: intense, warm and slightly earthy. More cumin means a stronger, authentic oriental taste.
- Turmeric gives the rice a golden yellow color and a mild, slightly tart spiciness.
- Black pepper adds pleasant heat and depth - from subtle to spicy, depending on the amount.
- Paprika provides sweetness, color and a round, harmonious aroma.
- Coriander adds lemony, spicy notes and combines all the spices to create a balanced overall flavor.
Add the spices while frying the meat and onions to allow the flavors to develop optimally. Then add the rice and liquid and fine-tune the intensity by seasoning. The individual packs make this set perfect for experimenting and refining your own personal plov recipe.
