National pearl barley, polished, is a high-quality, multi-ground barley grits that impresses with its smooth, snow-white appearance and quick preparation. Also known as "Dutch grits", it is a refined form of traditional pearl grits that can be used in many different ways in the kitchen. The grains remain crumbly after cooking, retain their shape and their characteristic snow-white color, which makes them perfect for side dishes, soups, risotto and more. Perfect for a healthy and varied diet!

Ingredients: Pearl barley.

Properties:

Contents: 800 g milled pearl barley made from high-quality barley.
Dietary properties: Suitable for vegetarians.
Note for allergy sufferers: Contains gluten.

Preparation recommendation:

Use 3 cups of water for 1 cup of pearl barley.
Pour the pearl barley and water into a saucepan, add a pinch of salt and bring to the boil.
Cover the pot with a lid and let the pearl barley simmer on a low heat for about 30-40 minutes until it is cooked.
Finally, you can refine the cooked pearl barley with oil or butter to taste.

Storage: in a dry place at temperatures between 0°C and 30°C.

Shelf life: 12 months
