BARIN Grandma’s Dried Fruit Compote, 400 g

The BARIN mixed fruit compote mix is an aromatic selection of dried fruit, just the way you like it for a real, home-made compote: apple as a mild base, plus apricot for velvety sweetness, sweet cherry and mountain cherry for fruity depth and peach for a warm, round note.

Perfect for a fragrant compote, but also as a fruity base for tea, porridge, yoghurt, desserts or for baking - a stock that always tastes of home.
Country of origin: Uzbekistan

Preparation recommendations:

Rinse the dried fruit thoroughly with warm water.
Place the mixture in a saucepan (recommended ratio: 200-300 g dried fruit to 2-3 liters of water).
Bring to the boil and then simmer over a low heat for 15-20 minutes.
Turn off the heat, cover the pan and leave the compote to infuse for at least 1 hour - this allows the flavor to develop optimally. Serve warm or chilled.

Aromatic twist for a more intense flavor:
Add sugar, honey or a slice of lemon to taste. Optionally refine with a pinch of cinnamon or 1-2 cloves.

Tip:
The mixture can also be used to prepare a fruit sauce / dessert topping:
Lightly mash or puree the cooked fruit - perfect for pancakes, syrniki, ice cream, quark or porridge.
